Welcome to Restore Counseling Therapist. Trauma-informed therapist Stephanie Thom, LPC is dedicated to help people recover from emotional suffering and take back their life. You have come to the right place if you find yourself caught in the past, paralyzed by fear, or trying to make meaning of your experiences. You are deserving of living completely, not only of surviving.
Trauma leaves behind unseen scars. Trauma can significantly affect our perspective, relationship with people, and perception of the world whether it results from childhood neglect, emotional abuse, a sudden death, an automobile accident, or other very upsetting occurrence.
Here in a warm, safe, and non judging environment, you can examine your narrative, feel seen, and start your recovery path. My treatment style is evidence-based, client-centered, and sympathetic. Working at your pace, together we will address the core of your suffering so you may go forward with confidence and clarity.

Difficult experiences, such as childhood neglect, emotional abuse, loss, or accidents, can shape how we view ourselves, connect with others, and respond to the world around us. Trauma therapy provides a supportive space to understand these experiences and begin working through their emotional impact.
Healing from trauma takes time, patience, and the right support. In our sessions, I help you recognize emotional patterns, develop healthy coping strategies, and build a stronger sense of safety. Together, we will work toward meaningful progress at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
EMDR Therapy, sometimes known as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing
Clinically tested, EMDR is a treatment meant to help individuals reprocess from traumatic events. EMDR targets the emotional and physical reactions linked with trauma, therefore helping your brain “unstick” from the past unlike conventional talk therapy.
If you experience:
Every client is distinct. I give some time to learn your particular beliefs, objectives, and obstacles. Whether your search is for deep healing, self-discovery, or symptom relief, we will co-create a road map fit for your priorities.

Healing means the injury no longer rules your life; it does not mean the damage never existed. Healing is promised at Restore Therapy, not only a possibility.
Trauma-informed therapy is a therapeutic method designed to acknowledge and react to trauma’s effects on an individual’s mental, physical, and emotional states. Safety, choice, teamwork, and empowerment come first; therapy should not retrain but rather build trust and healing.
